NAYCONF: Banjul Mayor Malick Lowe receives flag ahead of event

The Banjul Mayor, Malick Lowe, has received a flag ahead of next month’s National Youth Conference (NAYCONF).

The conference is taking place in Banjul from the 15th—23rd December, 2022.

Lowe disclosed this via her Facebook page on Monday November 28, 2022.

“It is my pleasure to inform the public that the popular traditional NAYCONF flag was yesterday handed over to me on behalf of the people of Banjul by the Deputy Mayor of KMC Madam Binta Janneh,” Lowe said.

She added, “The handing over of the flag is a tradition that paves way for the country’s biggest and most recognized biennial national youth convergence.’

The mayor expressed her thanks to the Deputy Mayor of KMC and her team, the Councilors of Banjul City Council, National Assembly members for North and Central.

She also appreciated the Youth of Banjul through the Chair of the Banjul Youth Committee, staff of the Banjul City Council, Rainbow cultural group, Ruggie FC football Club and a cross section of Banjulians who graced this important traditional event.

NAYCONF is a biennial event organized to bring youth together from all over the country and beyond to share experiences and dilate on issues that affect them. I am committed and rendering my unwavering support towards the successful hosting of this important event.
