Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) has won the award for the best systems in government communication at the Arab world level in the 9th edition of Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Saudi ministry also won second place for the best government communication initiative to empower women at the global level.
SGCA had 53 candidates on its shortlist for awar4ds in 19 different categories.
The Ministry of HRSD won the 1st and 2nd places for its distinguished methodology used in implementation, the impact and results achieved, and the use of technology and media to reach the target segment of the public, innovation and proactive visions.
On the occasion, Assistant Minister of HRSD for Shared Services, Eng. Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Jasser, stressed that the winning of two awards in SGCA came due to the great efforts of the ministry’s employees.
He said the ministry applied communication methodology compatible with modern government media trends, which respond more swiftly and flexibly to the demands of beneficiaries, customers and the public, according to the foundations of communication, based on the appreciation of public awareness and transparency, in addition to responding to media professionals as well as modern and traditional media.
The Ministry sought to create an effective communication media system capable of keeping pace with the rapid changes in the various sectors it supervises, and responding to the digital transformation that made government media a huge leap in the last few years
