USET students engaged in skills training to develop solar street light

In a noteworthy educational endeavour, students enrolled at the University of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology (USET), situated within the confines of the Mansakonko Skills Training Centre Annex, have actively participated in a practical training initiative culminating in the creation of an innovative solar street light project.

This was disclosed via the official page of Ministry of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology on Wednesday August 16, 2023.

“Students at the University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology USET, in Mansakonko Skills Training Centre Annex were engaged in hands-on training and developed a Solar Street Light Project,” said the ministery.

It added, “This is a welcomed development. Individuals, community and the private sector are encouraged to reach out to the Annex if they are interested in such installations.

“We are so proud of our students who are learning valuable skills for self and national development!”

The fruition of this initiative has been met with a sense of enthusiasm and appreciation.

Local citizens, community entities, as well as private sector entities, are extended an invitation to collaborate with the Annex, should their interests lie in pursuing similar sustainable energy installations.

Undoubtedly, the strides made by the students in acquiring these valuable skills resonate with a sense of pride.

These acquired proficiencies hold the potential to contribute not only to their personal growth but also to the broader progress of the nation at large.
