The message continued with the cousin expressing concern for Omar’s emotional well-being, explaining, “When I called him, he was crying. He told me he couldn’t even go to the masjid. I will send his bank statement. He has only D60,000 in his account.”
The cousin shed light on some aspects of Omar’s financial situation, indicating that the car he drives was a loan from social security, and he had received financial assistance for his child’s naming ceremony due to financial constraints.
The message concluded with a heartfelt appeal, saying, “I swear to Allah that he did not do it. He was accused because he is an in-law to Alhagie Jeng. I have all the proof to send you so that you can, for the sake of Allah, clear his name.”
